Q: The primary focus in your consulting career is centered on the Fiserv DNA suite of products, with a specialty in several key areas. Care to highlight any of your recent collaborations?

A: Of course.   In the last year I have collaborated with several client on CRM/BI, DNA Training, and training development.  I have worked closely with

clients to develop activity workflows and train their staff on how to create and manage activities.   I have also assisted clients with creating ad hoc, daily, weekly, and monthly reports.   I’ve worked with clients on training sessions and assisted clients with developing training sessions for their staff.

Q: If you had to describe your ideal engagement, how would that look?
A: My ideal engagement is with a client that is great with communication and engagement.   Weekly updates and our meetings are great, with mutual goals and exciting milestone achievements along the way!

Q: When working with a Financial Institution converting to Fiserv DNA, how early in the process should the Consultant specializing in the Core Training and Business Intelligence report writing be engaged?

A: Even before the client has selected their new core system, Smith Consulting Group can contribute significantly to the preparation and planning for conversion. As soon as the client has access to their training environment, Smith Consulting Group can start an impactful training engagement.  It’s important to identify early what areas the client would need assistance with.

Q: Blenda, you have been with Smith Consulting Group for over a year now. What do you like best about being a part of this organization?

A: Great colleagues.   It’s great to be able to work with so many people with years of experience in the industry.   Having a flexible schedule is a bonus that comes with working for SCG.   You can keep that work-life balance.

Q: Working in the FinTech field can be stressful, no matter how much you love your work! What do you do for hobbies or Self Care to level that work-life balance?

A: When I’m not working with amazing clients, I enjoy attending concerts, catching a movie on the big screen, or taking in a theatre show.   On the weekends you may find me playing Bingo or at a casino.

Q: What advice would you give someone who is new to the world of FinTech Consulting?

A: Have fun.   It’s great working with clients with the same goals as you.
